Airbrush Quick-Connect Installation Guide

Understanding Quick-Connect Coupler Structure
Spray gun quick-connect couplers typically consist of a male end and a female end, utilizing a snap-lock design. The front of the male end features a circumferential groove, while the female end houses an internal spring-loaded latch; a distinct "click" sound indicates that the connection has been successfully locked. Some couplers feature directional arrows; during installation, ensure that the coupler is oriented to align with the direction of fluid flow.

Three Steps for a Secure Connection
Cleaning Phase: Wipe both the inner and outer surfaces of the connection ports with a dry cloth to ensure they are free of residual grit or oil stains.

Alignment Phase: Insert the male end vertically into the female end, then rotate it slightly until the anti-reverse (foolproof) notches align.

Locking Test: Gently pull outward on the connection to confirm there is no looseness; then, introduce low-pressure air to check for any leaks.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
If the coupler fails to lock, first inspect the retaining ring (circlip) to see if it is deformed. If leakage occurs, try replacing the O-ring seal. During winter use, it is recommended to use a warm-air blower to gently warm and soften the rubber components, thereby preventing brittleness and cracking caused by low temperatures. For long-term storage, it is advisable to apply silicone grease to the connection ports to maintain the interface and prevent metal oxidation.
