What Material Is Best For A Spray Gun?
It is advisable to select a spray gun constructed from high-quality stainless steel.
The durability of a spray gun depends primarily on the materials used in its construction. A high-quality spray gun features materials that offer both sufficient pressure resistance and a lightweight profile, complemented by a superior exterior protective coating and high-grade internal components. Many domestically produced spray guns-as well as low-cost, unbranded imports-may deliver excellent spraying results initially; however, after just one or a few months of use, issues often arise-such as enlarged nozzle or air cap orifices, or excessive wear on the fluid needle rendering the gun unusable-due to the inadequate performance of their constituent materials. Furthermore, the exterior plating on some spray guns may begin to peel off after only brief contact with paint thinner; this not only detracts from the gun's visual appearance but also compromises its tactile feel during operation-a problem directly attributable to the use of inferior surface materials or substandard electroplating techniques.
